  • b. Deburring: The sharp corners of the product are chamfered, deburred, non-machined ejector pins are sharpened, and polished to smooth the appearance.
  • c. Inspection: 100% inspection.
  • Equipment & Tools: CNC machine, Flat-bottomed cutter, Drill bit, Tap processing fixture, File, Wind grinder, 120# sandpaper.
Precautions
  • Do not over cut, no sand holes, no sharp corners, no missed processing; without scratch, no burr; and the R corners should be connected smoothly.
  • Ensure the finish of the processed surface is Ra 0.8, control the size and shape tolerances.
  • Inspection by go gauge and no-go gauge.
  • Check the flatness of the product according to the drawing.
  • Handle the product gently to prevent deformation.
6. Polishing (Manual removal)
Description
  • Remove product clamping line caps, surface particles, slag bags, and gate residues.
Precautions
  • No processing be missed, no sharp corners, no sharp edges and the mold closing line should be connected smoothly.
7. Outsourcing
Powder Spraying & Test Tools
  • Powder spraying (spraying in separate areas).
  • Test Tools: Appearance visual inspection + film thickness meter + colorimeter + salt spray tester + hundred grid test tool + alcohol resistance test + pencil test.
Precautions
  • The coloring and anti-bake fractal areas are obvious, no different colors, dirt, exposed bottoms, dust accumulation, scratches, etc.
  • The color is consistent with the sample.
8. IPQC Inspection / IQC Incoming Inspection
Description
  • Incoming quality control inspection after the outsourcing process.
Precautions
  • Confirm the surface quality after powder spraying.
  • The holes need to be randomly inspected by needle gauge, inspection by go gauge and no-go gauge.
9. 100% Inspection
Inspection Details
  • a. 100% inspect the appearance of the powder-coated.
  • b. Conduct random inspections for the powder-coated performance test.
Precautions
  • a. The coloring and anti-bake fractal areas are obvious, no different colors, dirt, exposed bottoms, powder accumulation, scratches, etc.
  • b. The color is consistent with the sample.
10. Dispensing Glue
Description & Tools
  • Dispensing glue on the defined rib area, dispensing width and height 1.0±0.1 symmetrically centered.
  • Tools: Dispensing machine, dispensing fixture.
Precautions
  • 1. Glue strips is uniform, no breakage, accumulation, drawing, glue overflow, deviation, bubbles, falling off, etc.
  • 2. Ensure that the glue does not regenerate well or does not stick, and the glue strength is not ideal, etc.

Frequently Asked Questions

What material is used for the 5G base station cover and why?
The cover is made of high-quality ADC12 aluminum. Aluminum is chosen because it offers superior strength, excellent durability, high corrosion resistance, and outstanding thermal conductivity for efficient heat dissipation.
How does the cover manage heat dissipation for 5G base stations?
The high thermal conductivity of the aluminum material allows the cover to act as an efficient heat sink. It dissipates heat away from the internal electronic components of the base station, preventing overheating and ensuring optimal performance.
What are the key stages in the manufacturing process of the cover?
The production process is highly structured and includes: 1. Aluminum die casting, 2. Spout removal, 3. IPQC dimensional checks, 4. Frontal shaping, 5. CNC machining and deburring, 6. Manual polishing, 7. Powder spraying (outsourcing), 8. IPQC/IQC inspections, 9. 100% performance and appearance checks, 10. Precision glue dispensing, 11. Packaging, and finally 12-14. FQC/OQC shipping inspections.
What quality control measures are taken for the powder coating?
We utilize multiple testing tools including visual inspection, film thickness meters, colorimeters, salt spray testers, hundred grid test tools, alcohol resistance tests, and pencil tests to ensure color consistency, correct thickness, and excellent durability.
How is glue dispensing managed on the product?
Glue is dispensed symmetrically centered on the defined rib area with a width and height of 1.0±0.1. We inspect 100% to ensure the glue strips are uniform, free of breakage, overflow, bubbles, or peeling, and that the adhesive strength meets design requirements.
What are the final packaging and shipping protocols?
Products are placed in protective knife cards, covered with flat cardboard on the upper layer, and packaged securely. Before shipping, OQC/FQC verify quantities, inspect tools calibration status, check outer packaging, apply labels/stamps, and provide a comprehensive shipping report.
