China Suppliers Aluminum Die Casting 5G Base Station Outdoor Enclosure - Durable Heat Sink Factory Solution
Features
With the rapid expansion of 5G technology, base stations are critical to ensure continuous connectivity and fast data transmission.
The product's exceptional durability is one of its main advantages. The cover is constructed from high-quality aluminum for superior strength and corrosion resistance, ensuring long-lasting performance even in the most demanding conditions.
The aluminum top is not only sturdy but also provides good heat control. Because the material has strong thermal conductivity, it can effectively dissipate heat, minimize overheating, and ensure that the base station operates at the highest efficiency.
Furthermore, the design of the lid is both elegant and functional. It has a sleek, modern style that blends easily into its surroundings, making it ideal for urban environments and public spaces.
Process
01
Aluminum Die Casting
Process characteristics:
- Material handle: 20±2mm, furnace temperature: 670°±20°
- The use of secondary items is not allowed
- Verify through testing that the material composition is suitable and can be manufactured
- After die casting, first piece confirmation is required
Preventive Measures
- Verify the filling quality of the surface. It’s not the bulge, it’s not the cold insulation, it’s not the lack of material in the pillars.
- Prevent poor ejector pin crown, mold pulling or mold sticking.
- For non-machined/machined surfaces, the ejector pins are concave by 0-0.2 mm. The ejector pin must have a 0-0.2 mm convex shape.
02
Take out the nozzle & close slag bag
Note:
- Pay attention to the surface and don't damage it or lack of material.
- Manage size and appearance.
03
Deburring
Removal of the fringe at the peripheral mold line and the inserts on the heat sink teeth. Remove the residue of side gates and slag ports, and remove the fringe at the ejector pin position.
Note:
- No non-sanded areas, missing fonts, collapsed edges, or poking.
- No residual phi, missed phi, or particles.
- Isolate and report emergencies immediately.
- Handle lightly; do not bump or deform.
- Hang tag and product identification on cardboard; QC signature OK before transfer.
04
IPQC Inspection
Precautions:
Use measuring tools correctly and check dimensions according to drawings.
05
Product Back Shaping
Caution:
Within 0.3 mm from the front of the product.
06
IPQC Inspection
Visual inspection of appearance.
07
CNC Machining
Precautions:
- Do not overcut or miss processing.
- Ensure surface has no bruises or burrs.
- Ensure surface finish Ra1.6 size, shape, and location tolerances.
08
Air Tightness Testing
Precautions:
- Protect product appearance; prevent scratches on sealing groove parts.
- Identify and isolate any air leakage phenomena immediately.
09
100% Material Inspection
Visual inspection of appearance.
Precautions:
- Verify no overcut, sand holes, lack of material, or burrs.
- Perform go-no go fixed gauges inspection.
- Test product flatness according to the drawing.
- Hold product lightly to prevent deformation.
10
Grinding
Note:
Do not miss processing; ensure no sharp corners, burrs removed cleanly, and smooth R-angle connection.
11
IPQC Inspection
Visual inspection of appearance.
12
Cleaning + Chemical Conversion Membrane + Powder Spraying
Note:
- No different colors, dirt, touching, or scratching.
- Color uniform and consistent according to the sample.
- Powder thickness uniform; no accumulation of tumors or exposed bottom.
13
IPQC & Special Characteristics Inspection
Visual inspection of appearance.
Note:
- Confirm surface quality after chemical conversion membrane/powder spraying.
- Perform hole needle gauge sampling and go-no go fixed gauges inspection.
14
Riveting and Pressing D4.7 Dowels
Precautions:
- Ensure pins are loaded without deviation or falling off; no surface bulges or pressure injuries.
- Check height dimension after pressure riveting.
- Apply the right amount of glue to ensure no spillage after loading to the pin hole.
15
Full Inspection & Packaging
Thoroughly inspect the goods and packaging.
Precautions:
- Inspect appearance against sample (free of dirt, scratches, dents, defects, and uneven glue).
- Tooth pattern must comply with go-no go fixed gauge inspection.
- Place product in the knife card before packaging.
16
FQC Exam
Note:
Verify that the measurement device is still within its calibration window.
17
Transportation
Note:
- Confirm that the quantity matches the order.
- Label and stamp the outer box.
- Send reports on shipments.
18
OQC Shipment Inspection
Prepare for a rainy day:
Ensure the measuring device is within its calibration window and meets both customer and SIP requirements.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What materials and equipment are used for the die casting process?
We use AlSi10MnMg/DX17 material processed with an 800T aluminum die-casting machine. The process maintains a furnace temperature of 670°±20° and strictly prohibits the use of secondary items to ensure optimal material composition and structural integrity.
How does the aluminum cover manage heat dissipation for 5G base stations?
The cover is constructed from high-quality aluminum, which possesses strong thermal conductivity. This allows it to effectively dissipate heat, minimize overheating, and ensure the base station operates continuously at peak efficiency.
What are the standard parameters for the air tightness test?
The air tightness testing is performed with a test pressure value of 20kpa to 30kpa. The pressure is stabilized for 10 seconds, followed by a 10-second test time, ensuring the leakage is strictly controlled within 0.3kpa.
What quality controls are implemented during the CNC and grinding stages?
During CNC machining, we ensure no overcutting or missed processing while maintaining a surface finish of Ra1.6. In the grinding stage, we remove all sharp corners and burrs, chamfer the R-angle, and smooth the shape to prevent defects.
How are the final inspections managed before shipment?
We conduct multiple rounds of inspection, including 100% material inspection, FQC exam, and OQC shipment inspection. These verify dimensions, appearance, and packaging using calibrated instruments like calipers, projectors, pin gauges, and tooth gauges to meet both customer and SIP requirements.
