Manufacturing Process

1
Aluminum Die Casting
Process Parameters & Equipment
  • Equipment: 400T aluminum die casting machine
  • Material: ADC12
  • Furnace temperature: 670°±20°, Material handle: 20±2MM
  • Secondary Materials: Cannot be used
  • Composition: Test material composition to confirm before production
  • First piece confirmation: Required after die-casting
Precautions
  • Confirm surface filling quality (no cold insulation, no bulging, no shortage of materials for pillars).
  • Avoid sticking molds, drawing molds, or poor ejector pin convexity.
  • Ejector pins: Concave 0-0.2mm for non-machine-added surfaces and 0-0.2mm for machine-added surfaces. Thimble needs to be convex 0-0.2mm.
2
Remove Spout (Saw spout and knock out slag bag)
Equipment & Tools
  • Equipment: Sawing machine
  • Tools: Wooden stick
Precautions
  • No crush injury or shortage of materials.
  • Control the size and appearance.
3
IPQC Inspection
Inspection Details
  • Check dimensions according to drawings.
  • Test Tools: Caliper / Projection / Three-dimensional
Precautions
  • Use measuring tools correctly and check dimensions according to drawings.
4
Shaping (Product frontal shaping)
Equipment & Tools
  • Equipment: Cutting edge ruler / Shaping tooling / Hydraulic presses
Precautions
  • Inaccuracy must be within 0.25mm of the front of the product.
5
CNC Machining & Deburring
Process Details & Equipment
  • CNC Machining: Process the end face of the inner cavity, the end face of the surrounding heat dissipation tooth surface, and the through holes of the tooth holes.
  • Deburring: Chamfer sharp corners, remove burrs, sharpen non-machined ejector pins, and polish to smooth the appearance.
  • Inspection: 100% inspection.
  • Tools: CNC machine, flat-bottomed cutter, drill bit, tap processing fixture, file, wind grinder, 120# sandpaper.
Precautions
  • Do not overcut; ensure no sand holes, no sharp corners, and no missed processing. No scratches or burrs; R corners should connect smoothly.
  • Ensure surface finish is Ra 0.8; control size and shape tolerances.
  • Inspection by go/no-go gauges. Check flatness according to drawings.
  • Handle product gently to prevent deformation.
6
Polishing (Manual Removal)
Process Details
  • Remove product clamping line caps, surface particles, slag bags, and gate residues.
Precautions
  • Ensure no processing is missed, no sharp corners, and no sharp edges.
  • Mold closing line should be connected smoothly.
7
Outsourcing (Powder Spraying)
Process & Test Tools
  • Powder spraying in separate areas.
  • Test Tools: Visual inspection + film thickness meter + colorimeter + salt spray tester + hundred grid test tool + alcohol resistance test + pencil test.
Precautions
  • Coloring and anti-bake fractal areas must be obvious with no different colors, dirt, exposed bottoms, dust accumulation, or scratches.
  • Color must be consistent with the sample.
8
IPQC / IQC Incoming Inspection
Inspection Details
  • Verify incoming parts post powder spraying.
Precautions
  • Confirm surface quality after powder spraying.
  • Randomly inspect holes using needle gauges and verify with go/no-go gauges.
9
100% Inspection (Powder-Coated)
Inspection Details
  • 100% inspect the appearance of the powder coating.
  • Conduct random inspections for powder-coated performance tests.
Precautions
  • Coloring and anti-bake fractal areas must be obvious, without color variations, dirt, exposed bottoms, powder accumulation, or scratches.
  • Color must match the sample.
10
Dispensing Glue
Specifications & Tools
  • Dispense glue on the defined rib area.
  • Dispensing width and height: 1.0±0.1, symmetrically centered.
  • Tools: Dispensing machine, dispensing fixture.
Precautions
  • Glue strips must be uniform, with no breakage, accumulation, drawing, overflow, deviation, bubbles, or peeling.
  • Ensure proper curing and adhesion; monitor glue strength to meet target specifications.
11
100% Inspection (Appearance & Packaging)
Process Details
  • 100% check of final product aesthetics and packaging configuration.
Precautions
  • Appearance must match the sample. The surface must be free of dirt, scratches, dents, and defects. Glue dispensing must be even.
  • Tooth pattern must comply with go/no-go gauge standards.
  • Place product in the knife card, cover with flat cardboard on the upper layer, and package.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: What material is used for the 5G base station cover?

We use high-quality ADC12 aluminum alloy. This material offers an optimal balance of structural strength, excellent corrosion resistance, and high thermal conductivity, making it ideal for outdoor base station applications.

Q2: How does the cover perform in harsh outdoor environments?

The cover features superior durability due to its high-quality aluminum construction and specialized powder spraying. It undergoes rigorous performance testing, including salt spray testing and alcohol resistance tests, to ensure long-term outdoor protection.

Q3: What thermal management features does the design include?

Aluminum has naturally high thermal conductivity. The cover's design facilitates efficient heat dissipation away from critical internal base station electronics, preventing overheating and ensuring stable signal transmission.

Q4: What quality control checks are performed during manufacturing?

We implement a comprehensive QC process including IPQC, IQC, FQC, and OQC. Inspections cover dimensional accuracy (checked via calipers, projection, and 3D systems), surface finish (Ra 0.8), thread compliance using go/no-go gauges, and 100% visual inspection of the powder coating.

Q5: How do you prevent deformation during shipping?

During the packaging step, products are handled gently and placed into custom knife cards. A protective layer of flat cardboard is placed on the upper layer before final boxing to prevent movement and physical damage during transit.
