Manufacturing Process

Step 01

Aluminum Die Casting

Equipment: 500T aluminum die casting machine
Material: HH33GR

Process Characteristics:
• Furnace temperature: 670°±20°
• Material handle: 20±2MM
• Secondary materials cannot be used
• Material composition verification required
• First piece confirmation required after die-casting

Precautions

  • Confirm surface filling quality (no cold insulation, no bulging, no lack of material for pillars).
  • Avoid sticking molds, drawing molds, or poor ejector pin convexity.
  • Ejector pins: concave 0-0.2mm for non-machine-added surfaces and machine-added surfaces. Thimble needs to be convex 0-0.2mm.
Step 02

Remove Spout

(Saw spout and knock out slag bag)

Equipment: Hydraulic presses

Precautions

  • Pay attention to the surface to ensure no crushing or shortage of materials.
  • Strictly control the appearance and size.
Step 03

IPQC Inspection

Test Tools: Caliper, projection, three-dimensional, visual inspection of appearance.

Precautions

  • Use measuring tools correctly and check dimensions according to drawings.
Step 04

Shaping

Process: Back shaping

Equipment: Cutting edge ruler, shaping tooling, hydraulic presses

Precautions

  • Within 0.3mm of the front plane of the product.
Step 05

IPQC Inspection

Visual inspection of appearance.

Step 06

CNC Machining

Processes: Machining of internal cavity end faces, backside holes, side of one end, hole through-hole.

Equipment: CNC machine, flat-bottomed gong tool, Drill Bit, Tap machining jig.

Precautions

  • Do not overcut or miss processing.
  • Surface must not be bruised or have burrs.
  • Ensure surface finish Ra0.8, and comply with size, shape, and location tolerances.
Step 07

100% Material Inspection

Visual inspection of appearance.

Notes

  • Surface must be free of overcuts, sand holes, lack of material, burrs, and other undesirable defects.
  • Perform go-no go fixed gauges inspection.
  • Test product flatness according to the drawing.
  • Hold the product lightly to prevent deformation.
Step 08

Grinding

Chamfering R-angle, deburring, thimble shaving on non-machined surfaces, polishing and smoothing the shape.

Equipment: Air grinder, 120# sandpaper

Notes

  • Do not miss processing. Ensure no sharp corners, burrs are removed cleanly, and the connection to the R angle is smooth.
Step 09

IPQC Inspection

Visual inspection of appearance.

Step 10

Chemical Conversion Membrane

Precautions

  • No different colors, no dirty spots, no touching or scratching.
  • Color must match the sample, remaining uniform and consistent.
Step 11

IPQC + Special Characteristics Inspection

Visual inspection of appearance.

Precautions

  • Confirm surface quality after coating.
  • Holes need needle gauge sampling and go-no go fixed gauges inspection.
Step 12

Full Inspection & Packaging

Comprehensive inspection of products and packaging.

Equipment: Cartons, dividers, bubble wrap, desiccant.

Precautions

  • Inspect appearance according to the sample. The surface must be free of dirt, scratches, dents, and defects. Dispensing must be even.
  • Tooth pattern must comply with the go-no go fixed gauge inspection.
  • Place the product in the knife card, cover with white rice paper on the upper layer, and package.
Step 13

FQC Inspection

Test Tools: Caliper, projection, needle gauge, tooth gauge, appearance and outer packaging inspection.

Precautions

  • Verify whether the measuring tool is within its calibration period.
Step 14

Shipping

Precautions

  • Make sure the quantity is identical to the order.
  • Affix label and stamp on the outer box.
  • Provide a shipping report.
Step 15

OQC Shipping Inspection

Test Tools: Caliper, projection, needle gauge, tooth gauge, appearance and outer packaging inspection.

Precautions

  • Verify whether the measuring tool is within the calibration period.
  • Ensure consistency with SIP requirements and customer requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the temperature requirements for the aluminum die casting process?

During the aluminum die casting step, the furnace temperature must be strictly maintained at 670°±20° with a material handle of 20±2MM. Additionally, secondary materials cannot be used.

How do you ensure the precision of the CNC machining phase?

To ensure precision, we prevent overcutting and missed processing, verify that the surface is free of bruises and burrs, and maintain a surface finish of Ra0.8 alongside strict compliance with dimension, shape, and location tolerances.

What standards apply to the chemical conversion membrane step?

The chemical conversion membrane must exhibit no color differences, no dirt, and no surface scratches. The color must be uniform and consistent according to the standard sample.

What packaging precautions are taken for product safety?

Products are placed into a knife card and covered with white rice paper on the upper layer before packaging. The packaging system incorporates cartons, dividers, bubble wrap, and desiccant to prevent damage during transit.

How are quality inspection tools verified?

For FQC, OQC, and other inspection stages, all measuring tools (such as calipers, projection systems, needle gauges, and tooth gauges) must be verified to be within their active calibration period and consistent with SIP and customer requirements.
