Process

1

300T aluminum die casting machine; ADC12 material

Process characteristics:
  • Material handle: 20±2mm, furnace temperature: 670°±20°
  • The use of secondary materials is not allowed
  • Verify through testing that the material composition is suitable and can be manufactured
  • After die casting, first piece confirmation is required
Preventive measures include:
  • Verify the filling quality of the surface. Ensure no bulge, no cold insulation, and no lack of material in the pillars.
  • Pay attention to the surface to prevent poor ejector pin crown, mold pulling, or mold sticking.
  • For non-machined surfaces and machined surfaces, the ejector pins are concave by 0-0.2 mm. The ejector pin must have a convex shape of 0-0.2 mm.
2

Take out the nozzle (saw nozzle) and pull out the slag bag

Tools & Equipment:
  • Tools: A sawing machine
  • Equipment: wooden stick
Precautions:
  • Pay attention to the surface and don't damage it or use insufficient material.
  • Manage size and appearance.
3

IPQC inspection (check dimensions according to drawings)

Inspection tools:
  • caliper / projector / 3D / appearance visual inspection
Precautions:
  • Use measuring tools correctly and check dimensions according to drawings.
4

SHAMPING the back of product

Equipment:
  • Knife Ruler / Forming Tool / Hydraulic Press
Precautions:
  • The product front error is within 0.25mm.
5

CNC processing

Process details & Equipment:
  • CNC processing (internal cavity end face, peripheral heat dissipation tooth face end face, punching through hole processing)
  • Deburring (chamfer and deburr the sharp corners of the product, and sharpen and polish the non-machined ejector pin to make the appearance smooth)
  • 100% inspection
  • Equipment/Tools: CNC machine tools / flat bottom milling cutters / drills / tap processing jigs / file / wind grinder / 120# sandpaper
Precautions:
  • No overcutting, no blisters, no sharp corners, no missing processing; no scratches, no burrs; R corners should be connected smoothly.
  • Ensure the processing surface finish is Ra 0.8, and control size and shape tolerances.
  • Inspections are conducted according to go and no-go rules.
  • Check the flatness of the product according to the drawings.
  • Handle the product carefully to prevent deformation.
6

Polishing (manual removal)

Process details:
  • Remove product clamping caps, surface particles, slag bags, and gate residues.
Precautions:
  • No leakage processing, no sharp corners, no vertical edges, and smooth connection of the mold closing line.
7

Outsourcing

Status:
  • External processing stages.
Precautions:
  • The coloring and baking-resistant fractal area is obvious, and there is no abnormal color, dirt, exposed bottom, dust accumulation, scratches, etc.
  • The color is consistent with the sample.
8

IPQC inspection / IQC incoming material inspection

Scope:
  • Verification of outsourced components and incoming quality control.
Precautions:
  • Confirm the surface quality after powder spraying.
  • The holes need to be randomly inspected with pin gauges, and checked with pass gauges and stop gauges.
9

100% inspection

Process details:
  • 100% check the appearance of the powder coating.
  • Conduct spot checks on powder coating performance tests.
Precautions:
  • The coloring and baking resistance fractal area is obvious, and there is no abnormal color, dirt, exposed bottom, powder accumulation, scratches, etc.
  • The color is consistent with the sample.
10

Dispensing GLUE, width and height asymmetry centered at 1.0 ± 0.1, glued to designated strip area

Tools:
  • dispensing jigs and machines
Precautions:
  • The strips are even; they won't crack, pile up, pull, spill, deflect, blister, fall off, etc.
  • Verify whether the glue cannot adhere or regenerate well, whether the glue strength is optimal, etc.
11

100% inspection (100% appearance + packaging inspection)

Scope:
  • Comprehensive visual check and packaging readiness.
Precautions:
  • Appearance is inspected based on samples. The surface is free of dirt, scratches, dents and defects, and the glue is applied evenly without defects!
  • The tooth shape must comply with the general rules and stop rules.
  • Put the product into the knife card, cover the upper layer with flat cardboard, and then package it.
12

OQC shipping inspection

Inspection tools:
  • calipers, projectors, pin gauges, tooth gauges, appearance and outer packaging inspection
Precautions:
  • Whether the measuring tool is within the calibration period. Whether it meets SIP requirements and customer requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions

What material is used for the base station cover and what are its properties?
The cover is made of high-quality ADC12 aluminum alloy processed with a 300T die casting machine. This material offers exceptional durability, superior strength, and high corrosion resistance, ensuring reliable performance even in harsh environments.
How does the metal lid manage heat control for the base station?
Because of the high thermal conductivity of the aluminum material, the metal lid effectively dissipates heat from the components, minimizing the risk of overheating and ensuring that the base station operates at maximum efficiency.
What measures are taken during the CNC processing stage to ensure quality?
During CNC processing, precautions are strictly implemented to avoid overcutting, blisters, sharp corners, missing processing, scratches, and burrs. The surface finish is controlled at Ra 0.8, flatness is checked against drawings, and products are handled carefully to prevent deformation.
What are the key requirements for the glue dispensing process?
Glue dispensing is performed using specialized jigs and machines. The width and height asymmetry must be centered at 1.0 ± 0.1 on the designated strip area. The glue strips must be even, without cracking, piling, spilling, or bubbling, and the adhesion strength is verified to ensure optimal performance.
How is quality controlled before the products are shipped?
Quality is verified through multiple inspection stages, including IPQC, FQC, and OQC. Inspectors use calibrated tools such as calipers, projectors, needle gauges, and tooth gauges to verify dimensions and outer packaging. A 100% inspection is conducted on both appearance and packaging before shipping.
