Process

1, High Pressure Aluminium alloy die cast:

Equipment: 350T cold chamber aluminium die casting machine, 
Material: ADC12 (US-383/Russia-AJ16/ German-AlSi8Cu3/UK-LM2/Italy-4520/Eu-ENAC-46400)


Process Features

a. Furnace temperature: 650°±20°, Material handle: 20±2MM;
b. Secondary materials cannot be used;
c. Test the material composition to confirm that it is OK before be produced;
d. First piece confirmation is required.

Precautions:

a. Confirm the filling quality of the surface . No cold insulation, no bulging, or lack of material for the pillars. 
b. Pay attention to the surface to avoid sticking molds, drawing molds, or poor ejector pin convexity. 
c. The ejector pins are concave by 0-0.2mm for non-machine-added surfaces and 0-0.2mm for machine-added surfaces. The thimble needs to be convex 0-0.2mm.

2, Degating(Saw gate and knock out slag bag)

Equipment :  Sawing machine
Tools:  wooden stick

Precautions:

Do not allow breaking at the mouth of the chipping, residual height of less than 2mm

3,  InPut Process Quality Control inspection (check dimensions according to drawings)

Test tool: Caliper / Projection / 3.0 coordinate measure machine / visual inspection of appearance

Precautions:

Use measuring tools correctly and check dimensions according to drawings.

4, Shaping

Partially shape the shrinkage area of the flange face at the location of the main slag outlet.
Equipmen : Shaping tooling

Precautions:

Do not allow deformation or cracking

5, CNC:(first clip)

Drilling and Tapping
I. 8x M6 deep 14mm threads.
2. 1x M3 deep 6.5mm thread.
3. 1x M4 deep 8mm thread.
4. Milling the sprue bit;

Equipment and tools:
CNC machine, φ2.5/φ3.3/φ5 drills, M3/M4/M6 taps (first clip)

Precautions:

a. Do not overcut, missed processing;                                 
b. Surface attention must not be bruised, burrs;                        
c. Ensure that the surface finish Ra0.8, size, shape and location tolerances

6, InPut Process Quality Control inspection

Precautions:

Inspect the flatness for shaping in place.

7, grinding (Grinding of smooth mold line)

Equipment:Eccentric sanders, concentric sanders

Precautions:

Surface transition areas need to be jointed smoothly, do not allow collapsing, touching and missing.

8, CNC Second clip and Third clip (4-axis)
 Second clip -Drilled and tapped; milled slag pack residue:.
a. 16x M3 deep 9 orifices chamfered C0.5
b. 3x M3 deep 9 holes chamfered C0.5
c. 5x M3 deep 7 holes chamfer C0.5
d. 7x M3 deep 12.5 orifice chamfer C0.5
e. Milling slag packet residue
  Second clip -Drilling and tapping; milling into sprue residue:.
a. 2x M3 deep 6.5 holes chamfered C0.5
b. 1x M12 deep penetration orifice chamfer C0.5
c. 1x M25 deep 10 orifice chamfer C0.5 (root avoidance of about 2.5mm)
d. Milling into the sprue residue

Equipment and tools:
CNC machine, 4-axis fixture, 4-axis rotary table; φ8 milling cutter
φ2.5/φ10.5 drills, M3/M12 taps, milling cutter (milling M25), T milling cutter φ18*3.5*50L(third clip)
Precautions:

9,  InPut Process Quality Control inspection (Appearance visual inspection)
M3/M4/M6/M12/M25 Thread Gauge(6H)

10, Grinding and deburring

The sharp corners of the products are chamfered and deburred, and need to be sanded and smoothed. 
Equipment and tools:
Flat frustration, round frustration, air grinder, and pneumatic file.

Precautions:

Do not miss the processing, not the existence of sharp corners, burrs removed clean, connected to smooth mold line level R Angle

11, InPut Process Quality Control inspection

Appearance visual inspection

12, Full inspection before powder coating (Appearance visual inspection)

Check whether the contents of each process are in place and whether there is any omission of processing before powder coating.

Precautions:

a. The appearance of the material should be inspected according to the sample, and the surface should be free of dirt, scratches, defects, and omissions.
b. The tooth pattern should be in accordance with the inspection of the stop gauge.

13, Outsourcing:Powder spraying (Area powder spraying)

Precautions:

Precautions: Gloss level 30, film thickness 80-200μm.

14, Incoming Quality Control inspection

Visual inspection of appearance, adhesion test

Precautions:

a. After powder coating surface quality confirmation.      
b. Sampling inspection of holes with needle gauge / through-hole inspection with stop gauge.

15, Full inspection(Full inspection of appearance + packaging)

Precautions:

a,The appearance shall be inspected according to the sample. The surface shall be free of dirt, scratches, dents and defects, and the glue dispensing shall be even and without defects!
b,The tooth pattern must comply with the go gauge and no-go gauge;
c, The product is placed in the knife card, covered with flat cardboard on the upper layer, and then packaged.

16, Final Quality Control inspection

Test Tools: Caliper, projection, needle gauge, tooth gauge, appearance and outer packaging inspection

Precautions:

Whether the measuring tool is within the calibration period.

17, Shipping

Precautions:
a. make sure the quantity is the same as order.
b. Label and stamp on the outer box
c. Provide a shipping report.

18, Outgoing Quality Control inspection

Test Tools: Caliper, projection, needle gauge, tooth gauge, appearance and outer packaging inspection

Precautions:

Whether the measuring tool is within the calibration period. Whether it is consistent with SIP requirements and customer requirements.
